With projections indicating that road freight will reach 9.6 trillion tonne-kilometres by 2050, fleet management strategies must be adopted to avoid overwhelming environmental and economic pressures.

While they have the potential to revolutionize fleet efficiency and reduce environmental impact, their widespread adoption for long-haul deliveries is still underway due to a lack of infrastructure.
