Famoco launches a new Android wireless device with TECH5’s multi-biometric contactless capture technology – T5-AirSnap – integrated.
Famoco Touch FX206 is a sovereign Android OS mobile payment-enabled device build for business. The size of a smartphone, it has 5MP and 13MP cameras, a battery of 5000mAh, a wide 5” screen, NFC, 4G, GPS and an embedded Secure Element, and the ability to capture face and fingerprint biometrics in a fully contactless manner within seconds. This new function does not need a snap-on or any additional hardware for biometric data acquisition.
T5-AirSnap, integrated with FX206, is a fully touchless biometric acquisition technology powered by AI and deep learning for face and fingerprint biometric modalities. The technology uses the camera of the device for capture, can check and enhance the quality of captured image(s), run a liveness check and then package and send the data for registration or verification. The resulting data is compliant with relevant ISO standards and suitable for use with legacy datasets. The T5-AirSnap technology is optimal for onboarding as well as for verification across all vertical markets.
Various service providers and government agencies can benefit from the FX206 device with T5-AirSnap, including telecom – for SIM-card registration, Governments – for onboarding and verification of Health ID, Refugee ID, and other documents, and more. It can also be used by bank agents in the field for onboarding and transactions, increasing financial inclusion in the country.
