Statiq, India’s largest EV charging network, hosted its inaugural ‘Fleet Day’ at the Mahipalpur fast-charging hub in New Delhi, honoring the fleet drivers powering the nation’s EV boom, from last-mile delivery and cabs to logistics fleets. The event brought together 150+ EV fleet drivers who rely on Statiq’s network to power their daily commercial operations, from last-mile delivery personnel and cab aggregator drivers to logistics fleet operators.
As the most frequent and high-volume users of public charging infrastructure, fleet drivers play a disproportionately significant role in normalising EV adoption across urban India and demonstrating the commercial viability of electric mobility at scale. India’s commercial EV fleet market is exploding, projected to hit 10 million units by 2030, with two-wheelers and three-wheelers leading the last-mile and cab segments.
Fleet Day was designed as a moment of recognition and community, a space where Statiq could step back from transactions and listen, celebrate, and engage directly with the people whose trust and daily usage make its network meaningful. The Mahipalpur hub was transformed with on-ground branding and community activities, creating a welcoming space for drivers who treat it as a daily pit-stop.
Mr. Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO, Statiq, said, “At Statiq, we have always believed that the EV transition is not just about technology, it is about people. Fleet Day is a tribute to the drivers who have placed their trust in our network and, in doing so, are actively writing the story of electric mobility in India. Their daily journeys are proof that EVs work, at scale, in real conditions, and on real roads. We are proud to stand alongside them.”
Statiq’s network, which spans hundreds of charging points across major Indian cities, has been purpose-built to serve both retail and fleet charging needs. With a focus on uptime reliability, fast charging speeds, and seamless digital payment integration, the platform is increasingly becoming the infrastructure backbone for India’s commercial EV fleets.
Raghav Arora, co-founder & CTO, Statiq, said, “Fleet drivers are the ultimate stress test for any charging network. They charge multiple times a day, in all conditions, and have zero tolerance for downtime. Every infrastructure decision we make, from charger placement to software reliability to payment flows, is built with the fleet driver in mind. Fleet Day gave us the rare opportunity to hear directly from our most engaged users and to reaffirm our commitment to building infrastructure that works for them, not just for the brochure.
The initiative also underlines Statiq’s broader strategy of moving beyond transactional charging relationships towards a community-led model of EV infrastructure adoption. By investing in driver engagement, loyalty, and on-ground trust, Statiq aims to build an ecosystem where fleet operators and their drivers become active advocates and long-term partners in the EV transition.
Karan Nandwani, AVP, Business Development, Statiq said, “Fleet drivers are among the most active users of EV charging infrastructure. Fleet Day is our way of recognizing the people who power the EV ecosystem every single day.”
Fleet Day marks the beginning of a sustained community engagement program that Statiq plans to expand to other cities and charging hubs across its network. The company is evaluating driver loyalty initiatives, dedicated fleet support programs, and regular community events as part of its roadmap for deepening engagement with the commercial EV segment.
