British EV technology company Electrogenic has acquired the business of TREMEC Electric GT, establishing a permanent base in the United States as it enters the next stage in its North American expansion.
The acquisition of the Californian business further enhances Electrogenic’s sector-leading position in the EV powertrain space and gives it a base in Huntington Beach – providing the ideal platform to further scale its North American operations.
The acquisition follows years of sustained growth for Electrogenic in the North American market. With the establishment of its US headquarters, Electrogenic will deliver its world-leading EV powertrain technology to a larger base of North American customers, with an enhanced level of local service.

TREMEC Electric GT
Founded in 2014, TREMEC Electric GT is a specialist in electric vehicle powertrain systems design and integration. The company has made its name developing turn-key EV powertrains for low-volume manufacturers, supporting specialist vehicle builders with integration and supplying the aftermarket conversion sector with its range of e-Crate ‘swap’ systems: complete, plug-and-play packages that electrify a wide variety of vehicles using their existing frame, body, driveline and suspension. Previously, TREMEC Electric GT has electrified everything from classic Porsches to American muscle cars.
