TimesTech: How does the ANTS platform enhance 2G to 5G network capabilities and benefit your clients?

Naveen: ANTS (Automated Network Testing Solution) is a state-of-the-art patented platform for RAN network testing and analysis. This has been developed under the Make In India initiative. With over a decade of Atlantis’s experience in telecom network services and testing, we observed shortcomings in the network testing ecosystem wherein a lot of manual testing approaches resulted in errors while collecting testing results which eventually led to poor testing standards hence bad network quality.

We took this initiative to design and invent a model where RAN network testing can be executed in a controlled & automated environment so the test case execution, result recording, result visualization, and network final analysis can be done on one single platform with minimal manual intervention leading to transparent results which eventually provides key pointers to enhance network performance and end-user experience.

TimesTech: Can you provide examples of how practical insights have helped your clients with network planning and optimization?

Naveen: Based on the results and analysis using the ANTS platform users can identify actual issues related to coverage and poor network performance, with event analysis feature performance analysis can be easily done even at a single sample level which has never been done earlier. This micro-level analysis and improvement serves as a building block in the improvement of overall network performance.  ANTS scoring module makes network performance scoring easy. Network quality can be ranked in the categorization of Urban, Semi-Urban, and Rural, Highways and up to cluster and site level. This makes it easy to visualize network performance at such a level, wherein ranking-based comparison can be done between the best and worst performing categories enabling stakeholders to take quick actions for improvement on nonperforming categories.

Leveraging the benefits of AI over a Big common database makes it easy to visualize historical network performance and enables us to compare the same with the current network performance.

TimesTech: What strategic partnerships are you targeting in your Latin America expansion, and how will you showcase the ANTS platform?

Naveen: Atlantis has already started operation in the NAM region. We are currently engaged in OFC and RF services. We are proud to take ANTS (a Make in India) Platform to the Global stage.

With several POCs conducted, customer interest and responses have been overwhelming.

We are positive that our product shall soon be seen testing the American network.

TimesTech: How has Mr. Shomenath Roy Chowdhury’s vision influenced the global expansion and enhancement of the ANTS platform?

Naveen: ANTS is the brainchild of our Chairman & MD, Shomenath Roy C. On 23rd March 2020 when the lockdown was announced, our ground operations (As telecom is under essential services) got impacted. We had to keep the ball rolling and telecom services (Voice & data) were need of the hour for the mass population to communicate and execute work from home. Managing our field teams and daily tasks remotely made us more inclined toward having a platform that is fully automated and self-reliant. Mr. Roy’s futuristic vision and direction helped the team develop this one-of-a-kind patented network testing platform.
