AutoNxt Automation, the visionary company behind India’s first electric tractor, has officially started sales, targeting the sugar industry with the inaugural sale to Jaywant Sugar Mills. The landmark event took place in Western Maharashtra at the Yashwantrao Mohite Krishna Sugar Factory, graced by the presence of Dr. Sureshbaba Bhosale, Chairman of the factory, who hailed the launch as a transformative step for agriculture and industry alike. The launch event was attended by directors and staff members of the Y. M. Krishna Cooperative Factory, along with a large contingent from the local farming community.

“AutoNxt’s electric tractor will bring about a revolution in agriculture and various industrial sectors,” said Dr. Sureshbaba Bhosale, highlighting its importance in moving away from traditional diesel-powered machinery.

As part of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, AutoNxt’s electric tractor is set to make significant strides in both agriculture and industry. Dr. Bhosale praised this innovation, emphasising that the tractor aligns with the country’s push towards sustainable development in an era of potential fuel shortages. The inauguration event celebrated not only the tractor’s introduction but also the pride felt by the local community.

“It is a matter of great pride that Mr. Kaustubh Dhonde, the founder and CEO of AutoNxt, hails from Wai taluka in Satara district,” added Dr. Bhosale.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kaustubh Dhonde shared his vision for the future of farming in India. “Our nation depends heavily on agriculture, and farmers remain the backbone of the economy. Traditional diesel tractors, while reliable, are expensive to maintain and contribute to environmental harm. Our goal with the AutoNxt electric tractor was to provide farmers with an affordable, efficient, and environmentally friendly alternative,” Dhonde said.

The AutoNxt 45 HP electric tractor boasts impressive capabilities, including the ability to transport over 15 tons of goods. It excels in tasks such as reversible ploughing and rotary cultivation, and it can cover about 50 km on a full charge, which takes just three hours. The tractor’s battery is designed to be charged using both three-phase and single-phase electricity, resulting in fuel savings of 60 to 70%, making it an attractive option for farmers looking to cut costs and reduce their carbon footprint.
AutoNxt’s innovation promises to reshape the future of farming and other industries, offering a glimpse into a more sustainable and cost-effective future for India’s agricultural workforce.
