Eurotech Technologies the leading technology solutions company today announced the launch of BestNet SFP Modules. Available in a variety of specifications, BestNet small form-factor pluggable (SFP) module is a compact, hot-swappable, input/output transceiver used in data communication and telecommunications networks. The high performance SFP transceivers are highly cost effective and the modules support dual data-rate of 1.25Gbps/1.0625Gbps and 20km transmission distance with SMF.
Widely used in fibre-based networks and ideal for networks that support several data rates and fibre types, BestNet SFP modules interface between communication devices like switches, routers and fibre optic cables and perform conversions between optical and electrical signals. SFP transceivers support communications standards including synchronous optical networking (SONET)/synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH), Gigabit Ethernet and fibre channel. The SFP modules also allow the transport of fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet LAN packets over time-division-multiplexing-based WANs, as well as the transmission of E1/T1 streams over packet-switched networks.
The BestNet SFP modules consist of three sections: a FP laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA) and MCU control unit. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements. The transceivers are compatible with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and SFF-8472. The SFP features : Dual data-rate of 1.25Gbps/1.063Gbps operation, 1310nm FP laser and PIN photo detector for 20km transmission, compliant with SFP MSA and SFF-8472 with duplex LC receptacle, digital diagnostic monitoring: internal calibration or external calibration, compatible with SONET OC-24-LR-1, RoHS compliant and +3.3V single power supply.
“BestNet SFP modules reduce system and network complexity. A key component in broadband networks, datacentre and enterprise networks, these SFP modules operates effectively in intense applications, delivering maximum uptime,” said Mr. Anuj Jain, Managing Director, Eurotech Technologies.
The BestNet SFP modules are used in applications that include; Gigabit Ethernet switches and routers, switch to switch interface, fibre channel switch infrastructure and xDSL applications.
