GX Group Acquires Ping Communication to Boost LATAM Expansion and Telecom Solutions

In a landmark move, GX Group—a homegrown Telecom equipment manufacturer has acquired ‘Ping Communication’ (Switzerland) AG, a renowned broadband and fiber solutions provider part of Norway’s Heimgard Group. GX has taken a significant step in its long-term global strategy with a strategic acquisition aimed at expanding its presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America (LATAM). This move is part of GX’s broader vision, as the company is also in discussions with other potential acquisition partners to further strengthen its international reach.

As part of this initiative, GX is committed to promoting “Make in India” products on a global scale at the same time also introducing European innovative Broadband software solutions to the Indian market. This acquisition reinforces GX’s mission to enhance cross-border trade, innovation, and business synergies, ensuring a stronger and more diversified portfolio for its customers worldwide.

Ping Communication is recognized for its 20-year legacy in delivering broadband gateways, VoIP adapters, fiber CPEs, and remote monitoring and management systems. Currently one of the largest volume suppliers in the LATAM Broadband equipment market, with a strong presence across the region, notably serving top-tier accounts like TELMEX and América Móvil (AMX).

On acquisition of Ping Communication by GX Group- Mr. Trond Hovind, CEO, Ping Communication and Investor Eltek Holding AS Mr. Lars Jervan, CEO,“This acquisition marks a significant milestone for both GX and Ping Communication. India’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI)scheme has played a pivotal role in enabling GX’s rapid scale-up. By incentivizing local manufacturing and investment, the scheme has strengthened GX’s operational base, making this strategic move both timely and sustainable.

The Latin American telecom market is rapidly growing with robust demand for mobile data, 4G, and 5G services, wherein GX would play a key role.
