The international amateur radio exhibition Ham Radio is entering its 48th round in Friedrichshafen from June 27 to 29, 2025. At the international platform for technical innovations and professional exchange in the radio scene, Aaronia AG will be presenting high-end real-time spectrum analysis for amateur radio operators and developers at its stand 450 in hall A1. One of the most important goals at HamRadio is to support the community. Therefore, there will again be special trade fair offers directly at the Aaronia stand.

With the SPECTRAN V6 ECO, Aaronia has established a new era in real-time spectrum analysis in the entry-level segment. The basic version of the USB device offers a real-time bandwidth (RTBW) of 44MHz and an extended frequency range of 9kHz to 6GHz. The scope of delivery includes the powerful RTSA-Suite PRO for signal recording and data analysis. Among other things, the software offers the simultaneous display of several signal visualizations including recording and playback of the full IQ bandwidth. A large number of functions with a total value of EUR 7,782.00 are already included free of charge in the basic version.

“At HamRadio, we have very special offers on numerous products and of course on the real-time spectrum analyzers of the SPECTRAN V6 ECO series for everyone who visits us at our stand,” says Thorsten Chmielus, Managing Director of Aaronia AG. “We are looking forward to interesting discussions and a lively exchange with the community.”

The SPECTRAN V6 ECO is also available with an integrated signal generator. A dual RX version can also be ordered at a later date. Both devices close the gap between affordable but low-performance SDRs and expensive and fast high-end analyzers. Thanks to the two independent inputs, the SPECTRAN V6 ECO 200XA-6 offers 2 x 44MHz RTBW. On the other hand, both achieve up to 3THz/s sweep speed with the unique, patented high speed tictoc LO function – unique in the world.

Of course, the SPECTRAN V6 ECO can be extended. For example, an additional, low-noise preamplifier, GPS or an extended temperature range as well as a frequency extension to 7.25 GHz can be ordered. Other extensions can be easily installed later using a software license and significantly expand the range of functions of the device. There is a wide range of functions to choose from.

The SPECTRAN V6 ECO is only connected to a PC or laptop with a USB cable: Power is supplied via USB PD via the same USB port. At least 2 GB of RAM, a quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz and AVX2 support as well as Windows 10 are required to operate the software. Of course, the RTSA-Suite PRO is also available for the Linux operating system.

“In our opinion, excellent real-time spectrum analyzers are not just something for well-heeled buyers or companies,” emphasizes Peter May, Technical Director of Measurement Technology at Aaronia AG. “With our special offer at HamRadio 2025, we want to give all hobby radio enthusiasts and technicians the opportunity to make precise measurements for their own developments.”
