Munich, Germany – Under the motto “We are the link between the real and the digital world”, Infineon Technologies AG is launching its trade show offerings for electronica 2020 on the Internet. For the first time, the Cypress product portfolio will also be on display here. Interested parties can register on the Infineon website and will have the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about new products, application solutions and market trends from November 10, 2020 – at any time, with any device. In addition to the classic information offering, Infineon will also be providing a comprehensive live service on the Internet for the first time in the industry. For this purpose, the semiconductor manufacturer has rented a TV studio in Ismaning near Munich, from which three and a half days from Tuesday to Friday will be broadcast during electronica.
More than 60 program items will be offered live on stage: from classic demonstrations with application examples to keynotes and top-class expert roundtables. The range of topics is as diverse as the product range of Infineon. E-mobility and security solutions are therefore just as well represented as topics relating to sensor technology or power semiconductors. All participants of the program are available for individual or group discussions after their respective presentations. Guest of honor in Ismaning is the VW ID.4, which is based on the MEB platform. For those who, after so much information, are looking for a short time-out, there is also an offer: iPad magic and computer yoga provide relaxation and make you ready for more.
In addition, to live offers for customer interaction, Infineon brings the “classic” digital information offering on product highlights and application solutions to the web. More than 50 demo stations each offer a comprehensive range of information, including videos, e-learnings, app notes, presentations, and 3D infographics. For a better overview, this information is divided into three subject areas Automotive, Industrial, and IoT. The special thing about it is that a meeting room is assigned to each topic area, recognizable by the “Meet your expert” avatar behind which booth services are provided. This ensures that interested parties can contact the respective experts directly, via chat or video.
With the integration of Cypress, Infineon has taken a significant step in the company’s history and can now offer customers a differentiated portfolio of microcontrollers, connectivity solutions, software ecosystems, and high-performance memory. All of this is complemented by leading power semiconductors, automotive microcontrollers, sensors, and security solutions. Infineon’s virtual electronica with all available product information will open its doors on November 10. Click here to register. The highlight topics are:
- IoT: The Internet of Things is one of the most important technology trends of our time – it changes everything around us. Intelligent and networked objects offer society and the economy significant growth opportunities and advantages. Infineon’s embedded solutions are at the heart of IoT technologies, as they connect the real world with the digital world. They enable devices to collect, control, and communicate data in an energy-efficient and secure way. With the acquisition of Cypress, Infineon is evolving from a leading supplier of semiconductor components to a true market leader in system solutions made for IoT.
- Industry: Industrial applications require extremely reliable components. They enable intelligent energy management to reduce power consumption in production facilities and data centers. As a market leader in power semiconductors, Infineon is paving the way for sustainable energy generation and storage, smart factories, and energy-efficient data centers with solutions for intelligent motor control and advanced sensors. The company has the industry’s broadest portfolio of silicon, silicon carbide (CoolSiC™), and gallium nitride (CoolGaN™) technologies.
- Automotive: Infineon’s automotive product offering enables the transition from internal combustion to hybrid and all-electric vehicles and supports a higher level of automation. Solutions are offered for key components such as the main inverter, the battery management system, and the onboard charging system. Fully networked, purely electric, hybrid, and autonomous vehicles require not only technology but also, and above all, trust. Infineon’s dependable electronics solutions are therefore based on a zero-defect policy, a holistic approach to functional safety, and cybersecurity expertise.
