Schaltbau, a global leader in direct current (DC) technology, is pleased to announce its participation in Elecrama 2025, the premier trade show for the electrical and electronics industry in India. The event will take place from February 22-26, 2025, at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.

Schaltbau’s presence at Elecrama will represent the successful expansion of its brand Eddicy in the Indian energy and e-mobility markets with the introduction of its C303 contactor series. Engineered for bidirectional DC applications, the C303 series offers unmatched performance suitable for a range of industries including stationary charging infrastructure, battery test benches, non-IATF electric vehicles, DC microgrids, and more. With ultra-low contact resistance just above 100 µΩ, power loss is minimized, optimizing system efficiency; and with reduced contact warming, measuring 2 to 3 times lower than competitors, the series boasts superior thermal management capabilities. This translates to enhanced reliability and longevity, even in challenging conditions, thanks to optimized contact forces and advanced contact pills.

“We are thrilled to be part of Elecrama 2025 and look forward to engaging with our customers and industry partners,” says Steffen Munz, CEO of Schaltbau GmbH Group. “This event provides an excellent platform to showcase our innovative solutions and to demonstrate how we can contribute to the rapidly growing Indian market for energy and e-mobility.”

The Indian market for electric vehicles (EVs) is experiencing exponential growth, with the market expected to expand from USD 3.21 billion in 2022 to USD 113.99 billion by 2029.1 The government’s initiatives, such as the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme, are driving this growth, aiming for 30% of private car sales to be electric by 2030.2,3 Eddicy is proud to support this transition by producing its advanced contactors locally in India, contributing to the ‘Make in India’ initiative.4,5

“We are excited to see Eddicy solutions gaining traction in the Indian market,” adds Ripunjay Parikh, Managing Director of Schaltbau India Pvt. Ltd.. “Our local production capabilities ensure that we can meet the growing demand for high-quality electrical components which are manufactured in India, supporting India’s journey towards sustainable energy and e-mobility.”

Elecrama is the flagship showcase of the Indian electrical industry ecosystem and the largest standalone show in the electrical and allied equipment industry. The event covers the complete spectrum of solutions that power the planet, from source to socket and everything in between.
