Sensors with RFID
The sensors are equipped with large and bright LED indicators that notify the user about the correct “closed condition” (green colour) or unsafe “open condition” (red colour) of the door. The devices employ the OSSD1/2 (output signal switching device) standard to communicate a change of condition to the machine controller so that it can be stopped upon access. It is possible to connect up to 30 sensors in series – the first component in the series is a master unit. If one of the connected units detects the unsafe condition (red colour), the remaining sensors flash in green to alert the operator of the danger.
The SG-P products are available with two different coding levels: high or low. High-coded models (RFID) are compatible with ISO 14119, which requires devices to be protected against intentional deactivation. Both the configuration of the series and the pairing of sensors with RFID transmitters takes place fully automatically after the first powering of the device – this simplifies and accelerates the installation process.
