Meditec has been striving to find answers to this question and implement them – day after day, in its own research and development, in various collaborative projects, and from 27–30 January 2025 at the Arab Health in Dubai.
After a break of several years, steute Meditec is returning to the Arab Health – and with good reason. Guido Becker, Division Manager steute Meditec, explains: “The Arab Health has grown to become a leading platform for medical technology, gaining major significance far beyond the MENA region. Many of our European customers, including reputed manufacturers from the fields of diagnostics, endoscopy, high frequency surgery and laser surgery, exhibit there. Asian manufacturers, especially from China and India, are also strongly represented. Since we work closely with leading manufacturers of medical devices in these emerging regions and supply them from our sites in Germany and China, the Arab Health is a perfect opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and make new contacts. We are greatly looking forward to this fair, are well prepared and have already arranged numerous meetings.”
The exhibits which steute Meditec will be showing in Dubai include a new “Classic Line” foot switch concept. Its key feature is immediately clear: both pedals of this two-pedal RF 2 SW2.4LE-MED can be operated from all sides, i.e. with an actuation angle of 360°. Additional features include wireless signal transmission and an easy-to-clean, hygienic enclosure (both typical for steute user interfaces).
A particular highlight at the fair will be our presentation of new approaches in connection with the open communication standard “Service-oriented Device Connectivity” (SDC). With SDC we are creating a central system which will enable all devices to be controlled intuitively and ergonomically.
Additional benefits at a glance:
- Optimised ergonomic comfort: you are free to concentrate on what is essential – the surgical procedure and the patient.
- Greatest operational ease: our solutions are setting new standards for the intuitive control of medical devices.
- Focus on interoperability: watch how the SDC standard increasingly defines the future of medical technology.
