Taipei, Taiwan – AAEON is honored with receiving the 29th Taiwan Excellence Award for 2021. Four AAEON products are recognized this year for their innovation and design to continue pushing AI and edge computing; the BOXER-6641, BOXER-6842M, BOXER-8221AI and BOXER-8521AI.
Now in its 29th year, the Taiwan Excellence Awards recognize companies for their excellence and innovation, seen as a symbol of these values around the world. Products are judged in four categories; R&D, design, quality, and marketing. Only entries which perform well in each category are selected to receive awards. AAEON has received this honor almost every year for the past 21 years. This year, AAEON’s products are each recognized for bringing innovative solutions to powering AI Edge Computing for industrial and embedded IoT applications.
The BOXER-6842M is recognized in the category of embedded AI edge computing industrial control system. With powerful Intel® processors including the 9th Generation Core i9-9900T and Xeon E-2124G, the BOXER-6842M is designed to deliver top end performance with support for single graphics cards up to 250W TDP on a single power supply, or two cards up to 500W with dual power supply. The BOXER-6842M is designed to power the most intensive of AI applications, or as an AI Edge server.
The BOXER-8521AI system is recognized as an innovative Artificial Intelligence AIOT Edge Gateway System. Powered by the Google Edge TPU, it provides flexible I/O connections, Wi-Fi 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth support in a compact, rugged design to easily deploy and operate wherever it’s needed. With AAEON’s Hero Platform, it’s also easier than ever to monitor and perform maintenance or software updates remotely.
The BOXER-8221AI is awarded in the category of Artificial Intelligence Edge Computing System. Featuring the NVIDIA Jetson Nano, it offers a compact, flexible system with a lower cost barrier for developers and systems integrators to deploy their AI Edge applications. With a rugged design, it can easily be deployed just about anywhere.
The BOXER-6641 is honored as an Efficient and intelligent edge computing computer. The system offers users a range of processors including the 8th/9th Generation Intel Core and Intel Xeon providing scalability whether it’s traditional industrial computing, or powering Edge Servers, machine vision or AIoT and AI applications. As a universal solution, it offers powerful computing and graphics performance combined with innovative core cooling technology that supports processors up to 71W TDP while delivering reliable performance in high-temperature environments up to 70°C.
