Rajesh: Our new coating line is truly a game-changer. It’s the first fully continuous “3Coat 2Bake” process in India, designed to deliver unparalleled precision and quality. This means we’ve streamlined operations, reduced lead times, and minimized material waste—all while gaining more flexibility in production. The result? Can you explain the “three-coat two-bake continuous processing” technology, including its advantages over previous methods, and the role of software or digital systems for process automation?
Rajesh: Absolutely. The “three-coat two-bake” process involves applying three layers of coating, each cured at two separate baking stages. This method ensures an impeccable surface finish, exceptional durability, and consistent colour quality. What takes it to the next level is the automation—advanced software drives the entire process, from coating application to curing. This reduces human intervention, minimizes errors, and gives us the ability to scale production effortlessly. It’s a perfect balance of technology and efficiency.
How do the technological advancements in this new coating line enable a 75% reduction in delivery time, enhance production through the accumulator feature, improve resource utilization, and reduce man-hours?
Rajesh: The accumulator feature is one of my personal favourites—it allows the line to run continuously, even during coil changes, which means no downtime. This has a huge impact on production efficiency. Along with that, better resource utilization and more streamlined workflows mean we need fewer man-hours to achieve the same—or even better—results. All of these elements combined have helped us cut delivery times by 75%. It’s a win-win for us and our customers.
