element14 has signed a global distribution agreement with Alliance Memory, bringing a significant new supplier to element14’s semiconductor portfolio. The new agreement will further expand Alliance Memory’s market reach through element14’s customers worldwide.

The complete range of Alliance Memory’s SRAM, DRAM, embedded multi-media card (eMMC), and flash memory ICs will now be available for fast delivery from element14. These memory products meet market needs in the communications, computing, consumer electronics, medical, automotive, and industrial markets.

This agreement means Alliance Memory’s legacy memory devices will be supplied through element14’s long-established distribution network and customer base, enhancing their availability and simplifying the procurement process.

The Alliance Memory product range includes:

SRAM

  • A full range of 3.3V and 5V asynchronous SRAMs used with mainstream digital signal processors (DSPs) and microcontrollers
  • Low-power SRAMs, pseudo-SRAMs

DRAM

  • 3.3V synchronous DRAMs (SDR)
  • Mobile DDRs, 2.5V single (DDR1), 1.8V double (DDR2) and 1.5V and 1.35V triple rate (DDR3), 1.2V quadruple rate (DDR4/DDR4X) synchronous DRAMs

Flash ICs

  • 5V/3.3V/1.8V Parallel NOR Flash
  • 1.8V & 3.3V Serial NOR Flash (SPI / DUAL / QSPI / Multi IOs),
  • 1.8V & 3.3V SLC Serial NAND Flash (SPI / DUAL / QSPI / Multi IOs),
  • 1.8V & 3.3V SLC Parallel NAND Flash (SPI / DUAL / QSPI / Multi IOs)

element14 parent company Avnet is an existing authorised distributor of Alliance Memory products, which means that element14 customers will benefit from Avnet’s existing Alliance Memory ecosystem that delivers design, product, marketing and supply chain expertise for customers at every stage of a product development lifecycle.

Alliance Memory’s memory products are designed to meet the customers’ specific needs who require drop-in replacements for discontinued or obsolete memory components. Alliance Memory has earned a reputation for delivering reliable solutions to extend the life of existing systems and equipment without costly redesigns or requalification.

Jose Lok, element14 Global Product Category Director, Semiconductors, said: “This welcome introduction of Alliance Memory’s extensive memory solutions to our global line card will help our customers worldwide to avoid redesign costs when going through end-of-life transitions for legacy products. Alliance Memory has remained finely tuned to market trends and has expanded its DDR3 SDRAMs, eMMC and other product ranges to ensure the demand for these solutions can be met.”

Alliance Memory’s memory solutions are now available from stock at Farnell in EMEA, Newark in North America and element14 in APAC.
