The use of home automation systems is being rapidly increasing now a day. Their usage ranges from industrial to domestic applications. The home automation systems not only improve the quality of life but also makes it more comfortable, adding to our affluence. It has enabled us to perform tasks virtually, without the need of being present at the location. IoT devices keep on continuously tracking collecting and analysing the data that is being further utilized to enhance the customer’s experience. The data collected is subjected to powerful algorithms that enable IoT devices to not only learn but also to take decisions without requiring any human intervention. This results in the continuous enhancement of the services that are being provided.

A smart home is a network of connected devices through web-based applications that are connected to a central computer or database that enables access and controlling of all the devices centrally through commands. These commands may be in the form of a program or voice commands. Some examples of smart homes may include lighting control, temperature control, Security cameras, multimedia devices, etc.

Though smartphones have added to a great extent to the comfort of the users there may always be a chance of the security of these systems to be compromised. These security devices may be vulnerable to data theft and malfunctioning if invaded by a hacker or any other kind of malware or spyware programs. Some devices come with weak security features and are vulnerable to hackers. Blockchain technology has worked magically well by overall improving the security protocols of these systems thereby making them least vulnerable to hackers. This also improves the control over the data that is to be accessed by third parties

Robotics process automation is a form of business process automation technology based on metaphorical software robots commonly known as bots or artificially intelligent digital workers. RPA uses automation technologies to do the office tasks that in general humans are supposed to do. The future of home automation and personal assistance with robots is developing quickly. Industry specialists foresee that the up-and-coming age of individual assistance robots will be furnished with prescient AI that can expect human necessities or address security issues before they occur.

With the increasing demand for automation and robotics, the demand for trained professionals in this field is also increasing. Below, we explore what the field of robotic automation lead design entails and examine the steps aspiring roboticists can take to build a successful career in this field today.

  1. Get an Education: A B.E./B.Tech Degree in Electrical or Electronics or B.Voc Mechatronics/Robotics/Automation) degree from a reputed university is an excellent option to kickstart your robotics career. You will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to design and develop robotic and autonomous systems during your learning. If you want to pursue research and other innovative positions, you can also work towards a master’s degree after completing your undergraduate degree.
  2. Get Advanced Training and Certifications: Specializing in core areas like Robotic Automation and Lead Design can help you acquire the desired skill sets and give you an edge over other professionals in your field. Along with preparing you for excellent career opportunities, advanced skill training by ESSCI – Electronics Sector Skills Council also helps you pursue a career path in the robotics field. ESSCI has designed these specialised Qualification Packs with the help of industry and academia experts for developing a skill set of B.E./B.Tech graduate who wishes to pursue their career in Robotics & Automation.
  3. Gain Experience: Hands-on experience is necessary for the robotics industry. ESSCI also helps a candidate to gain experience through NAPS –National Apprenticeship Promotional Scheme and internships to give exposure to the autonomous systems that industries use currently. ESSCI also offer On-the-job training programs for candidates, which help them to stay in touch with the latest happenings in the Robotics field.
