In the last 10 years India has grown significantly after I witness this expo. For promoting LED, our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Government of India had initiated ‘Ujala’ scheme in the year 2016 through which LED lamps were given to every household. Led lamps were costing around INR 400 – INR 500 per lamp and now they are available around INR 50 – INR 60, this is a big transformation that has come across the market has totally phased out the general lighting service bulbs (GLS). This indicates 80% of the market has been converted into LED which is commendable. Lot of developing countries have also participated here and this will create joint or bilateral opportunities for the MSMEs. However, if we manufacture in India through our machines and technologies will serve to be more beneficial for the Indian economy. I believe LED Expo New Delhi will benefit in these areas and also expand the clusters of this product category.”

Appreciating the show and the event, Ar Abhay Purohit, President, Council of Architecture, shared his views as: “This is a very good experience because the Indian and International LED manufacturers and suppliers have brought their designs here and the transformation happening through LED lighting is showcased here. Some Indian manufacturers participating here show how LED industry has advanced the in the last five years and the industry has grown exponentially. This shows our LED industry has become more mature. The Indian and international exhibitors showcasing their products and they are very competent with each other.
