Jetway, a leading producer of industrial motherboards, has announced the release of the MI24, its most advanced Mini-ITX board to date. Available in SKUs featuring Intel Core i5-1335UE or Intel Core i5-1335U CPUs from the 13th Generation Intel Core Processor line, the MI24 takes advantage of 10 cores and 12 threads of performance, along with greater deep learning capabilities via integrated Intel DL Boost.
The MI24 can accommodate up to 64GB of DDR5 at up to 5200 MT/s via two SODIMM slots, meaning it is well-suited to applications that rely on high-bandwidth data transmission, such as PLCs. Its I/O is designed to get the most out of this flexible, high-speed memory, with both of the board’s LAN ports running at 2.5GbE, while also hosting two USB Type-A and two USB Type-C ports, both for USB 3.2 Gen 2.
Jetway indicate that the even split between USB Type-A and Type-C is due to the latter supporting DP 1.4a, which can be used in conjunction with its two HDMI 2.0b ports to provide four simultaneous 4K displays. Augmenting this is the board’s Intel Iris Xe Graphics compatibility, which as a whole makes the board a high-quality alternative option for user-friendly digital signage or kiosk applications.
For customers seeking an industrial automation solution, the MI24 fits the bill, offering six serial ports (RS-232/422/485 x 2, RS-232 x 4), an 8-bit GPIO, and SMBus. For wireless communication, the MI24 is home to an M.2 2230 E-Key for Wi-Fi 6 support, as well as an M.2 3042/3052 B-Key for 4G/5G expansion modules.
The MI24 grants a wide variety of options for storage, with the most obvious choices being its SATA SSD drive and two M.2 M-Keys, which can host additional SATA and PCIe 4.0 [x4] cards for NVMe. The board also offers additional slots for a PCIe 3.0 [x1] and SIM card installation, giving users ample storage for a wide range of applications.
