The PIC16F175x MCUs are designed to deliver high performance and low-energy efficiency in industrial automation, sensor interfaces, lighting control, and portable device applications.
The Microchip Technology PIC16F175x Low-Power 8-Bit MCUs, available from Mouser, feature integrated op amps, high-speed 10-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), 10-bit pulse width modulators (PWMs), and comparators with software-controlled gain ladders that enable a single op amp to switch between multiple gain options, mitigating noise while maintaining precision and power efficiency. Engineered for precision in volatile analog signal measurement over a wide range of inputs, the PIC16F175x’s analog peripheral manager (APM) controls which peripherals are active to a new low-power comparator and voltage reference combination that can operate while the MCU core is in sleep mode, allowing for continuous analog measurement while consuming less than 3.0 µA of current. With flexible core-independent peripherals and low-power modes, these devices are ideal for embedded applications to reduce external component count, simplifying design and lowering system cost.
Mouser also stocks the DM164137 Curiosity 8-Bit development board, which supports Microchip 8-pin, 14-pin, and 20-pin 8-bit PIC microcontrollers. The Curiosity 8-Bit board features dual-row expansion headers on either side of the MCU socket, offering flexibility of connectivity to all pins on the PIC MCUs, and includes a set of indication LEDs, an mTouch button, push-button switches, and a variable potentiometer. Also available to order is the EV14L29A Curiosity Nano evaluation kit, which features a pre-mounted PIC16F17576 MCU and includes an on-board programmer and debugger. No external tools are necessary to program and debug the PIC16F17576.
