August 3, 2020 – Mouser Electronics, has announced a new smart home resource site from Silicon Labs, a leading provider of wireless technology and tools for a smarter, more connected world, and TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors. The new site provides design engineers with information on key Silicon Labs wireless system-on-chips (SoCs) and TE sensors that work together to enhance smart home designs. The site also features an easy-to-follow block diagram that shows how the parts interact.

The smart home resources site highlights Silicon Labs’ latest EFR32xG22 family. The SoCs, all based on an Arm Cortex-M33 core, are highly energy efficient, delivering exceptional battery life for a range of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The EFR32BG22 (BG22) SoCs are single-chip solutions that support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, including Bluetooth Mesh, Bluetooth Low Energy, and direction-finding with sub-meter accuracy. The EFR32MG22 (MG22) family devices are the smallest, lowest power SoCs optimized for Zigbee Green Power applications. The EFR32FG22 (FG22) SoCs incorporate a 2.4 GHz radio with a receive sensitivity of -106.4 dBm to enable energy-friendly proprietary protocol networking in power- and size-constrained IoT devices.

TE’s featured sensors include the MS8607-02BA01 pressure, humidity, and temperature (PHT) combination sensor. The fully factory-calibrated combination sensor measures pressure from 10 to 2,000 mbar, relative humidity (RH) from 0 percent to 100 percent, and temperature from minus 40 to 85 degrees Celsius. TE’s HTU31 is one of the smallest and most accurate relative humidity sensors in the market. The sensor, available in analog and digital versions, provides fast response time, precision measurement, low hysteresis, and sustained performance. TSYS03 is a miniature digital temperature sensor that provides factory-calibrated, highly accurate temperature data in a range of minus 40 to 125 degrees Celsius with a resolution down to ±0.01 degrees Celsius.
