NOVOSENSE Microelectronics, a semiconductor company specializing in high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs, has announced details of its electronica 2026 automotive demonstrations.
The company will have a key focus on automotive applications at the expo and demonstrations set to highlight its technology for EV power conversion, post-crash functionality, distributed body control, intelligent lighting and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
electronica takes place from November 10 to 13, with the NOVOSENSE stand located in Hall C5, Booth 159.
Crash Power Module:
Among the core demonstrations taking place on the stand is NOVOSENSE’s Crash Power Module. The CPM has been created to support vehicle door access following a collision that results in the loss of the low-voltage battery supply.
The solution integrates the NSR11430B buck converter, NSR22606 boost controller, NSD3618 multi-channel motor pre-driver, NS300K116 MCU, NSR37050 LDO and NCA1044 CAN transceiver. By combining charging, motor driving, control, power management and communication, the design illustrates an integrated approach to post-crash backup power requirements, with the CPM boosting energy stored in a supercapacitor to enact emergency door unlocking and handle deployment.
EV charging port and cabin lighting:
NOVOSENSE’s NSUC1527-based lighting demonstration has been created for flexible lighting control in charging-port indicators, interior ambient lighting and other creative vehicle lighting applications. It integrates an ARM Cortex-M3 processor, 128 KB Flash, CAN FD/LIN/UART interfaces and OTA update capability as well as 27 high-precision constant-current driver channels with support for up to 64 mA per channel.
On-board charging:
For high-voltage electrification – including traction inverters, onboard chargers and DC-DC converters – NOVOSENSE will showcase the NSI6911F isolated gate driver. This ISO 26262 ASIL D certified device combines gate driving, measurement and diagnostics, and has a 19 A peak drive capability, 150 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI), an integrated 12-bit isolated ADC and diagnostic functions.
The device has been created to enable switching behavior, transient immunity and protection requirements to be addressed.
NOVOSENSE also offers magnetic current sensors, including the NSM201x and NSM211x, for current monitoring and protection in on-board chargers and DC-DC converters.
Additional systems and demonstrations:
NOVOSENSE’s wider automotive portfolio addresses evolving electrical and electronic architectures, including body control modules (BCMs), zonal control units (ZCUs), vehicle lighting and sensing. Motor drivers and power management ICs support loads such as motors, relays, valves and solenoids. Automotive LED drivers cover cabin and exterior lighting, while the NSL21924FS provides an ASIL B LED driver option.
For ADAS and intelligent cockpit applications, the NLS9116 serializer and NLS9246 deserializer support video links from camera to ADAS SoC, while the NSUC1800 and NSUC1802 form a radar solution for ultrasonic parking assistance (UPA) and automatic parking assistance (APA).
Technical presentations:
NOVOSENSE’s Eason Fang will also address the engineering considerations behind high-voltage vehicle architectures in a presentation entitled: “Beyond Isolation: Enabling the Next Generation of 800V Electric Vehicle Architectures.”
This 30-minute presentation will take place on November 10 at 10:30 am and will be held at the Automotive Forum, Smart Mobility Stage, Hall B4, Stand 445.
