TimesTech: How does Numeric’s Wi-Fi Backup UPS enhance productivity and security in remote work environments?

Mr. Satpal: Numeric’s Wi-Fi Backup UPS is a true game-changer for remote work environments. I can confidently affirm its profound impact on both productivity and security. Remote workforce heavily depend on a reliable and stable internet connection to access company resources, communicate with colleagues, and execute their daily tasks. A Mini UPS for Wi-Fi Router keeps the internet router powered uninterrupted during power outages, preventing sudden disconnections, ensuring that remote workforce can continue to work without disruptions and consequently, improve their efficiency.

Furthermore, many remote workers deal with sensitive and confidential company information. A Wi-Fi router UPS helps in safeguarding this data by maintaining the router’s power supply. In the event of a power outage, ongoing data transfers and secured connections remain intact and are not abruptly severed, reducing the risk of data loss or security breaches.

By embracing Numeric’s Wi-Fi Backup UPS, we empower remote workers to maintain their productivity levels while safeguarding sensitive data, making it an indispensable tool for the modern remote workforce.

TimesTech: Can you share specific projects where Numeric UPS improved connectivity in underserved areas?

Mr. Satpal: Our company’s involvement in the Intrusion Prevention Systems project executed in Jammu and Kashmir and the North East, focusing on remote and underserved locations at the borders of the country, demonstrates our dedication to providing uninterrupted business continuity and social responsibility. We are proud to have played a crucial role in improving surveillance and connectivity in these regions, ultimately contributing to the welfare of the nation.

ICT Schoolnet in Kolkata, Bihar & Jharkhand: Numeric UPS systems also played a vital role in the implementation of the ICT Schoolnet project, aimed at introducing digital education to thousands of underserved schools in Kolkata, Bihar, and Jharkhand. In these remote regions, frequent power disruptions are common, which often hindered students’ access to online learning resources. Numeric UPS systems were strategically deployed in these schools to be used with digital projectors so education could be imparted digitally to the kids. This innovative solution not only bolstered connectivity by ensuring uninterrupted access to digital educational content but also empowered students with modern learning tools, effectively bridging the digital divide in these regions, which are not easily reachable and serviceable due to their remoteness.

These initiatives underscore Numeric UPS’s unwavering commitment to improving connectivity and facilitating access to essential services in underserved areas, thereby making a substantial contribution to the socio-economic development and empowerment of local communities.

TimesTech: What are the key lessons Numeric UPS has learned in overcoming connectivity challenges?

TimesTech: How has your diverse industry background influenced your approach to innovation at Numeric UPS?

Mr. Satpal: A diverse industry background offers valuable fresh perspectives that can be applied in different contexts. Concepts and best practices from other industries can prove useful, leading to innovative solutions through the integration of insights and methodologies from various fields. Personally, my experience in Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, and Energy companies across different geographies has provided me with situational learning, enhancing my adaptive thinking abilities on a daily basis.

In my view, driving innovation on a large scale involves structured experimentation. If an idea proves successful, it should be rapidly scaled up; if not, it becomes a learning opportunity. Drawing upon my diverse industry experience, I have developed a natural inclination for experimentation. This allows me to shape the vision and foster a culture of need-based innovation, which is integral to the work we are currently undertaking at Numeric.

TimesTech: What strategies have contributed to Numeric UPS’s reputation for excellence in the UPS industry?

TimesTech: How do your personal interests, like long-distance running, align with your leadership style at Numeric UPS?

Mr. Satpal: As a long-distance runner, I’ve gained valuable insights that have shaped who I am today. While many people associate long-distance running with fitness, it offers much more than that. The sport develops resilience, emotional intelligence, endurance, and goal orientation, which are the main reasons why most people choose long distance running.

Endurance sports, including long-distance running, teach a positive mindset. Effective leadership requires resilience and the ability to overcome obstacles and setbacks. As a runner, I understand the importance of perseverance, and this mindset helps me face daily challenges.

In business, driving a long-term vision is similar to running a marathon. As a leader, setting ambitious goals and planning resources, milestones, and governance is crucial. Similarly, in marathons, reaching the finish line or achieving a personal best requires planning pace, milestones, and self-reflection to adapt to changing weather and difficulty of terrain.

Long-distance running involves both individual pursuit and a sense of community. Runners train together, share experiences, and provide support, this has taught me the value of teamwork and preparation for success.
