RECOM has added to its range of cost-effective DC/DC converters for the mobility market with a 600W-rated product featuring a choice of input ranges. The 24V output RMOD600-W covers 48V, 60V, and 80V input nominal with a range of 33.6V to 96V (125V peak) and the 13V output RMOD600-EW has an extended continuous input range of 33.6V to 125V to include 90V nominal input.
Both models are in rugged metallic enclosures sealed to an IP69K rating for dust and water ingress and can be mounted in any exposed area. Products are additionally compliant with EN 60068 for resistance to temperature cycling, shock and endurance, humidity/heat cycling, vibration, mechanical shock, and salt spray. Isolation is 2.5kVDC and the parts are safety-certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 ‘basic’ grade. Comprehensive protection includes input reverse polarity, over temperature, and output short circuit/overcurrent.
The RMOD series operates at high efficiency and is intended for a baseplate-cooled operation to a maximum ambient temperature of 85°C without derating.
The overall size of the RMOD600 series is just 203 x 115 x 71mm including sealed connectors and mounting flanges.
