TimesTech: How is RapidShyp leveraging technology, automation, and AI to simplify logistics for India’s MSMEs and D2C sellers?
Ravi: RapidShyp’s AI-powered courier recommendation engine, SmartSelect, evaluates delivery performance metrics like on-time delivery, first-attempt success, and service coverage. It also considers costs and the seller’s priorities to recommend the most reliable courier partner for each shipment. At the same time, our automated order verification solution sends WhatsApp prompts to confirm COD and prepaid orders. This process checks PIN codes, phone numbers, and addresses, reducing the risk of RTO by up to 45%. By combining verified order flows with performance-driven courier selection, we help MSMEs and D2C sellers ship high-quality orders, improve delivery success, and build stronger customer loyalty.
TimesTech: What makes RapidShyp’s B2B aggregation model different from traditional logistics players?
Ravi: Our B2B aggregation model differs from traditional logistics players since we follow a unified, tech-driven, and performance-focused approach. Unlike others limited to a single network, we provide access to multiple carrier partners on one platform. We have also collaborated with leading providers to offer cost efficiency, scalability, and flexibility.
RapidShyp offers a complete API suite for managing the entire shipping process. It connects directly with client systems to allow smooth operations. Businesses can use appointment-based scheduling, door-to-door deliveries, and real-time tracking across multiple channels to maintain complete shipment visibility and operational accuracy. A team of dedicated shipping advisors supports this technology. They improve routes, choose carriers, and optimise turnaround times to achieve real gains in efficiency and reliability. By combining aggregation, automation, and expert advice, we give companies a logistics backbone that is smart, adaptable, and much more responsive than traditional methods.
TimesTech: How does your platform ensure cost efficiency, transparency, and real-time tracking for small businesses?
Ravi: For small businesses, balancing costs, transparency, and logistics efficiency can be tough. RapidShyp solves this very issue. Our AI-driven courier recommendation engine optimises costs by analysing past performance, serviceability by pin code, and rates to find the best courier for each shipment. With ULIP integration, a government-backed data network, we provide real-time, multi-modal tracking and complete visibility, even in areas with limited tracking. We also validate addresses and capture buyer preferences upfront to reduce delivery failures and hidden costs. These features help small businesses grow confidently by optimising spending, improving transparency, and ensuring each shipment provides maximum value.
TimesTech: Can you share how your tech-led model has helped businesses from Bharat (tier-2 and tier-3 regions) grow or scale efficiently?
Ravi: RapidShyp’s tech-led model has been a significant support for businesses in Bharat, especially those in tier 2 and tier 3 regions. It helps them grow efficiently and compete nationally. As demand for e-commerce increases beyond major cities, these regions are becoming the next source of growth. India’s e-commerce market is expected to grow from about $125 billion in 2024 to $550 billion by 2035, driven primarily by demand from tier 2 and tier 3 areas. However, reaching and serving these markets comes with logistical and cost challenges. RapidShyp addresses this with its tech-driven platform, which connects sellers to multiple courier partners through a single interface. It offers broad pin-code coverage, address verification, order validation, and real-time tracking. By cutting down on failed deliveries, reducing returns, and streamlining last-mile logistics, RapidShyp enables small and mid-sized businesses to expand beyond big cities while keeping operations efficient and costs under check.
TimesTech: What role does data analytics play in optimising multi-carrier operations and delivery performance?
Ravi: Data analytics plays an integral role in improving multi-carrier operations and delivery performance. We track carrier-specific metrics across regions and service levels. We identify which courier is fastest in a particular pin code, which offers the most cost-effective transit, and which shows the highest reliability in remote areas. This knowledge powers our courier recommendation engine, helping businesses choose the best partner for their needs, whether they prioritise speed, cost, or coverage. Our dashboards also provide complete visibility into shipping KPIs, including lane-specific spend, carrier performance, and RTO trends. This allows businesses to ascertain underperforming routes and make changes in real time. By using analytics in this manner, we turn multi-carrier logistics into a flexible, optimised network that boosts efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
TimesTech: What are your upcoming innovations or tech upgrades aimed at improving the logistics experience for businesses?
Ravi: We are continually working on our technology to make business shipping faster, more innovative, and more responsive. Our forthcoming innovations will focus on same-day and next-day delivery through partnerships with local courier networks. This is bound to enable quicker fulfilment and a broader regional reach. We are also investing in quick-commerce logistics and developing solutions for ultra-fast delivery. Simultaneously, we are improving our AI-driven courier recommendation engine with better data, predictive insights, and more carrier integrations. This will give our users even more accurate, performance-based suggestions.
