Bondada Group, one of Bharat’s fastest-growing and most dynamic providers of integrated infrastructure solutions across the Telecom, Solar, Indian Railways, and Green Construction, announced the appointment of Rear Admiral R. Sreenivas, VSM (Retd), as Group Chief Executive Officer.
Rear Admiral Sreenivas brings with him over 35 years of distinguished leadership experience from the Indian Navy and the corporate sector. A highly decorated naval veteran and recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal, he has a proven track record in operations, administration, large-scale project management, capital acquisitions, and driving initiatives in self-reliance. Having spent over 50% of his naval service onboard various ships and ship repair yards in his naval career, he had the rare distinction of leading refit/ modernisation programmes of over half of the Navy’s ships and submarines in a senior leadership role.
He is credited with transforming the naval ship repair yard, Sri Vijaya Puram, into the best-performing repair yard amongst the navy’s five ship repair yards, all through his leadership of the yard during 2012 – 14, for the first time in the four decades of the yard’s existence. He spearheaded record-breaking defence acquisition programmes worth over ₹1.8 lakh crore, and played a significant role in shaping the Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020.
Following his superannuation in 2022, Rear Admiral Sreenivas served in leading advisory roles with the Ministry of Defence, Hindustan Shipyard Ltd., and Larsen & Toubro’s Precision Engineering Systems Division, contributing his expertise in strategic planning, corporate growth, and product development.

As Group CEO, Rear Admiral Sreenivas will lead Bondada Group’s strategic direction, oversee operations, and champion its innovation roadmap, expanding the Group’s domestic footprint while scaling its global presence in infrastructure development.
