PESO certification identifies Graphite devices as ideal industrial automation solutions for use in hazardous environments, such as oil and gas installations, water and wastewater facilities, and mining areas.
As an agency of the Government of India within the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, PESO (formerly the Department of Explosives) oversees and regulates the safety of hazardous substances throughout the country, including explosives, compressed gases and petroleum. PESO’s primary responsibility is to administer India’s Explosives Act, 1884, and Petroleum Act, 1934, and the rules thereunder with the motto “Safety First.”
