Traditional Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) carrier messages provide delayed milestone information. In the case of land-to-sea shipments the Loaded on Vessel message that a container has been loaded on a ship is typically sent 1-5 days after loading. EDI does not offer real-time information on location. Savi Locate for global multi-modal shipments removes supply chain uncertainty by delivering objective and accurate real-time, in-transit visibility data from the broadest range of locations around the world.
