TimesTech: Tell us about the work that Cloud Connect is doing.

Raman: Cloud Connect is India’s first B2B virtual Network operator. We offer business communication services to businesses of all sizes. So be it SME, medium scale, or large scale. So, we launched in India around four years back, just before covid. We have got more than 300 Enterprises on board already. There are some really big logos were using our services as well. One of the best parts of the cloud communication services that we provide is its DR and DCP proof. DR is disaster recovery. If there’s flooding like we have seen recently in Mumbai and Bangalore. So, the business should move on. So, your calls are being answered at any time. So that is, that is the beauty of this complete platform. And then it comes with a lot of bells and whistles. It comes with like the IVR. So, whenever somebody calls in, it will say, welcome to business ABC, press one for this, two for that. So, the calls are put to the right people and the right departments in very less time. The efficiency of the staff is increased that of multifold.

TimesTech: What are the services that you are highlighting in this Expo?

Raman: In this Expo, we are launching for the very first time, India’s first unified communication platform. So, I think there is a buzz word which is Unified communication and a lot of people are using it. But we are launching it for the very first time in India or Southeast Asia to be very honest. Wherein, we are offering PBX and a contact center on a single platform. That means, your contact center users can talk, speak and transfer calls into the PBX and vice versa. So, most businesses use contact centers and call center platforms for their marketing teams, their support team, their customer service teams and so on so forth. So, that becomes very easy because the business has got a single platform where they can manage their all communications and the complete platform, what we are offering is an omnichannel that means you can have your WhatsApp, you’re gonna have your SMS, you’re going to have your SMTP and many, many other features right on one single platform.

TimesTech: There are traditional companies that are offering the same type of products to the industries. So, how your product is different from theirs?

Raman: There are companies that are offering not similar but I would say the pre-dated services. So, it was like a PBX where you have to install the hardware or a box in the premise and then you have to get the line and then you have to have electricity and then you have to have air conditioning. This is all data center based. So, it’s all in the cloud which we are managing 24/7. So, we have got teams that are managing it. You don’t need to worry about it as a business. Your lines, your business, and your telecoms will be always up and working. A lot of times which you have seen where in traditional PBX like Matrix, Panasonic or any other there are hundreds of companies like that where they fail, for example, there is a spike in electricity and just the motherboard blows away, which doesn’t happen in this kind of a scenario plus we give you the flexibility to work from anywhere, anytime we’re in your mobile extends so we give you the mobile extensions. On your traditional PBX, you don’t get an extension where you can take it out of your office, with our platform, you can even work from home as well.

TimesTech: What will be your vision and focus areas moving forward?

Raman: Moving forward, I think we are working on expanding pan India and then hopefully global by next year and then we are also adding some fantastic features which are very much India-centric because India surpasses the fixed line era. In India, everybody carries a mobile these days. So, we are working on a lot of mobile-first applications, mobile-first contact centers, and so on.
