The Infineon Technologies AURIX TC4x MCUs, available from Mouser, are an upward migration path from Infineon’s AURIX TC3x family, boosted by the next-generation TriCore 1.8 and the scalable AURIX accelerator suite with multiple smart accelerators and a parallel processing unit (PPU) for AI up to ASIL-D, enabling advanced ADAS and DRE for efficient communication and data handling, along with SPU for radar signal processing. The AURIX TC4x 32-bit TriCore MCUs also support high-speed communication interfaces, such as 5-Gbit Ethernet and PCIe, as well as CAN-XL and 10BASE-T1S Ethernet, providing performance, throughput, and flexibility for new E/E architectures. The TC4x platform delivers high-performance memory with up to 6 TriCore v1.8 cores at 500 MHz in lockstep for robust real-time control and AI workloads. It features 24 MB of on-chip NVM with SOTA support and eGTM timers, high-resolution PWM, and a low-latency interconnect for AI and audio solutions in next-generation automotive applications.
The AURIX TC4x MCUs offer robust ISO 21434-compliant security featuring CSRM/CSS for hardware-based cybersecurity and advanced audio capabilities featuring 8-to-1 PCM mixing (8-192 Kbps), PLL for audio clocks, TSN synchronization, I2S/TDM, acoustic sensing, AVAS, in-cabin noise canceling, and advanced infotainment features like audio zones and telematics.
