June 8, 2020 – Mouser Electronics is now stocking the RA4W1 microcontroller from Renesas Electronics.

The Renesas RA4W1 32-bit microcontroller is based on a 48 MHz Arm Cortex-M4 core and integrates Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy connectivity, making it an ideal choice for low-power IoT devices. An on-chip capacitive touch sensing unit and a segment LCD controller enable simple integration into human machine interface (HMI) applications. Additional features include 512 KBytes of code flash memory, 96 KBytes of SRAM, a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and a USB 2.0 Full-Speed module.

For development, Mouser also stocks the EK-RA4W1 evaluation kit, which capitalizes on the Renesas RA Flexible Software Package (FSP) — a quick and versatile way to build secure connected IoT devices using the Renesas RA Family of Arm microcontrollers.

Applications for the RA4W1 microcontroller include health care, home and building automation, wireless sensor networks, wearables, and IoT devices.
