Named AskFred, the assistant allows Fireflies customers to get more value from their meeting transcriptions. Users can have natural language conversations with AskFred to get questions answered, generate content like meeting follow-ups, emails and blog posts, and more. The assistant comprehends context and responds thoughtfully, reducing the need for excessive post-meeting work.
Within weeks of ChatGPT’s debut, we at Fireflies developed our own assistant and launched AskFred in beta. This rapid iteration exemplifies our adaptability as a company. We’re constantly enhancing our product to leverage the latest AI capabilities and meet customer needs.
The impact on workflows and productivity has been significant. AskFred eliminates meeting and transcription review – meeting notes are now instantly actionable and any information from meetings is available at your fingertips. The assistant also writes quality first drafts of follow-ups in seconds, whereas manual transcription review and drafting used to take hours.
By integrating AskFred into their existing Fireflies workflows, teams can decrease their post-meeting workload by over 70%. They can invest these time savings into more impactful strategic work.
As developments advance in the AI space, Fireflies is continuously adapting our product to help teams get the most out of their meeting and conversational data. This includes our upcoming launch of AI Apps which allow a whole new level of customization for different use cases within organizations, and our upcoming launch of an AI App Store (similar to OpenAI’s recent launch of an AI App Store) specifically for conversational data.
