New Delhi- The 30th Convergence India and 8th Smart Cities India expo is being jointly organised by the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), and Exhibitions India Group (EIG).
The opening ceremony will have Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways as the Chief Guest. The occasion will also be graced byH.E. Ing. Karel Hirman, Minister of Economy, Slovak Republic and Shri Deepak Bagla, MD & CEO, Invest India.
The 3-day expo is a celebration of India’s rising influence as a global digital powerhouse. Further, it is a display of the emerging modernisation and development landscape of the country. 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of Convergence India. A three-decade journey that mirrors India’s as it emerges as a global powerhouse and a force for good in this world.
Over the years, the expo has become the congregating venue for leaders in government and industry. They focus on creating a modern India inspired by the landmark initiatives of the Prime Minister.
Participation:
This year, the expo will see 1,000 participants showcase cutting-edge innovations, with an expected footfall of 50,000 visitors. During this Union and State governments, industry, think tanks and academia will debate issues relating to India’s digital revolution.
Startup Hub Pavilion:
Further, an exclusive Startup Hub Pavilion will feature over 200 startups, showcasing innovations across the different verticals of emerging technologies. There will be mentoring sessions from the pioneers of the ecosystem, specially curated conference sessions, Startup Pitch Competitions, Investor & Startup meets, and the highly popular Smart City & Fintech Innovation Awards, all of which will work to catapult this ecosystem to the next level.
